This course includes extensive classroom work as well as drills, exercises and scenarios in a controlled environment (training pool) or a live environment. Upon completion of this course students should have an understanding of:
The capabilities and operation of various small crafts
Basic handling and safety (including an emphasis on swimming fundamentals)
Patrolling, tracking, intercepting and various other tactical maneuvers
Boarding larger vessels
Planning an operation
Navigation including night orientation
Coordination with CSO/VSO/FSO and/or relevant federal and local law enforcement agencies
