IMSN continues to support the Cadets at Maine Maritime Academy with Vessel Security Officer/Company Security Officer and Anti-piracy training during their annual summer training cruise. Additionally working through the continuing education department, we provide the same training for the students in their limited license program, and post graduates.
Presenting security training underway aboard the TS State of Maine, provides an invaluable, “real world” training platform. Instilling Best Management Practices and essential STCW security training prior to graduating, helps to establish important vessel security skills and promotes a positive and effective security mindset for these future maritime officers. All graduating unlimited licensed officers both deck and engine, which have passed this course will enter the industry as a VSO or CSO.
We are proud to be part of Maine Maritime Academy ‘s security team, not only by providing quality training, but also by providing vessel security assessments, plan writing, and third party due diligence and drills.
