To complete the online course
A computer that supports screen resolutions of at least 1024x768 a minium of 1 gig of ram, 1.7 Ghz processor and one of the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 9 or later
Safari 5.1 or later
Google Chrome 17 or later
Firefox is currently not support as some functions will not operate correctly in Firefox.
Android devices are supported with screen resolutions of at least 1027x768 and OS version 4.0 and higher and must support the playback of Flash based content
iOS devices are supported with iOS 6.0 or higher, you must use a third party browser that supports Flash content, iOS devices ( iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad do not natively support Flash based content)
Windows tablets and smart phones are not supported as some functions do not operate properly.
You must also have a valid email address, one that is not a shared or group email account.
A High Speed Internet connection is recommend for best results
The device must support the ability to save a file to it and be able to read the PDF format to view and print PDF certificate. Access to a printer from the device used to take the course is highly recommend to print certificate at the successful completion of course.
1.) Student will be required to provide Passport Number and country of origin. Falsifying documents will disqualify students certification and make them subject to prosecution to the full extent of the law. Numbers must be entered correctly incorrect numbers may render the issued certificate invalid.
2.) Student will be required to provide mariners document number or drivers license number. Falsifying documents will disqualify students certification and make them subject prosecution to the full extent of the law. Numbers must be entered correctly, incorrect numbers may render the issued certificate invalid.
3.) Student is required to finish course once it is started which is approximately 2hr in length. You cannot start and then exit and save the course to return later. If you exit the course prior to completion you will have to contact IMSN to see if you qualify to retake the course with out a fee.
4.) Student is required to download SOLAS and ISPS Code. These documents will be needed throughout the course. These documents will be provided for download once you enter the course.
5) A valid email address is required, one that is not a shared or group email account.
6) Requests for lost or misplaced certificates must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and may take up to 10 business days to receive a replacement certificate.
